Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintains a true Safety First approach with a track record of continuous safety improvements.
• Direct maintenance technicians that cover shift production operations for a multi-facility Mississauga based
automotive supplier.
• Lead day to day activities of directing, controlling and coordinating all phases of the Maintenance
Department.
• Support plant operations and equipment maintenance for Metal Stamping, Assemblies, mechanical press, Etc.
• Handles troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs, Preventative / Predictive Maintenance Plans and spare
parts supply room.
• Work closely with other departments to drive root cause identification and maintenance reduction/elimination
activities.
• Assure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity.
• Implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain Repair and Maintenance expense, Labor, utilities and capital projects for the plant. Ensure all
equipment are maintained properly. Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment
to minimize unnecessary machine downtime.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree, Industrial Millwright certificate and 5+ years manufacturing/stamping experience.
• Conventional Press experience a definite asset
• Excellent leadership skills
• Knows how to drive truck & forklift
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Strong decision making, problem solving and collaborative skills
• Proven skills in Preventive Maintenance, Reliability Based Asset Management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Office and Microsoft Project. Previous
experience with Automated Control Systems PLCs, PCs & CMS
